Samsung has officially launched its Odyssey OLED G6 gaming monitor, the world’s first 500Hz OLED monitor, in select regions, marking a major milestone for gaming technology.

With a 27-inch QD-OLED panel, this cutting-edge monitor promises a 500Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms GtG response time, and a 2560 x 1440px resolution, ensuring the ultimate performance for gamers.

The monitor boasts a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, which guarantees a 500-nit peak brightness, 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, and exceptional black levels—true to the OLED technology’s promise.

While the device can technically reach 1000 nits, this is limited to a small patch (only 3% of the screen), but the 500 nits combined with Samsung’s Glare Free layer should provide more than enough brightness for a seamless gaming experience.

The OLED Safeguard+ technology is another highlight, designed to prevent burn-ins even during extended use, ensuring the longevity of the screen without compromising performance.

The Odyssey OLED G6 also integrates Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro adaptive refresh rate technologies, making it compatible with a wide range of gaming setups for smooth, tear-free gameplay.

Currently, the monitor is available in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, with a broader global release expected by the end of this year, offering gamers around the world a chance to experience this state-of-the-art gaming display.
