Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 to Be Thinnest Foldable Yet

Samsung’s next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7, may be the thinnest foldable phone ever made, according to trusted tipster Ice Universe.

In a post on X, he claims the Fold7 will measure 8.9mm when folded and only 3.9mm when unfolded.

This would make it one of the slimmest phones on the market. For comparison, the Oppo Find N5, currently the thinnest foldable, is 8.9mm folded and 4.2mm unfolded.

Huawei’s Mate XT is slightly thinner when open at 3.6mm, but the Fold7 still offers a major improvement over Samsung’s own past models.

The Fold6, for example, is 12.1mm folded and 5.6mm unfolded. Even the slimmer Z Fold Special Edition in South Korea and China is 10.6mm folded and 4.9mm unfolded. So, the Fold7 marks a big step forward for Samsung’s design.

The phone is also expected to have a 4,400mAh battery, as revealed in a previous certification listing. If the leaked measurements are true, the Galaxy Z Fold7 will offer a thinner and more portable foldable experience without sacrificing battery life.
