Samsung is getting ready to launch its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but new leaks suggest fans may not see big camera upgrades this time.
According to recent reports, the S26 Ultra will feature the same 50MP zoom sensor with 5x optical zoom used in both the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra. The main camera is also expected to stay the same at 200MP.
This means there are no major hardware changes expected for the camera system. Instead, Samsung will likely focus on software enhancements and computational photography to improve image quality.
However, one possible new feature could be the return of variable aperture technology. This allows the camera to adjust to different lighting conditions, which could help deliver better photos in both bright and low-light settings.
Other key specs, such as the 5,000mAh battery, also appear unchanged from previous models.
With the official launch still months away, Samsung could surprise fans with more updates. But for now, the Galaxy S26 Ultra seems to be an evolutionary upgrade rather than a major leap forward.
