Samsung Could Add AI-Powered Image-to-Video Generation to Galaxy Phones

Samsung is reportedly working on a new AI-powered feature for its Galaxy Gallery that can generate videos from images.

Details are sparse, but this move follows Google’s recent launch of advanced video generation through its Gemini AI assistant, which is already integrated into Galaxy devices.

Since Samsung collaborates closely with Google, it’s likely the company will leverage Gemini’s AI capabilities for this new feature.

However, Honor is set to beat Samsung to market with its own image-to-video AI feature on the Honor 400 series, which offers a free two-month trial before requiring a subscription.

There’s speculation Samsung might introduce this feature with One UI 8.0 and possibly place it behind a paywall, but no official confirmation has been made yet.
