A recent Bloomberg report, sourced by Jason Schreier, claims that Rockstar Games has instructed writers to be “less crude” toward transgender people and other minority groups in Grand Theft Auto 6.

This marks a shift from the earlier games in the series, where these groups were often the subject of controversial jokes.

The report does not specify why this change is being made or how it impacts the game’s development. Rockstar has not commented on the matter.

However, it is noted that GTA 6 has been in development since 2018, after the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, and the game is still expected to release in late 2025.

In addition to the reported changes in tone, GTA 6 is expected to feature a major online mode, following the success of GTA Online.

Though the information comes from reliable sources, it remains unconfirmed by Rockstar at this time.
