Xiaomi Redmi has revealed details about its new K80 series phones, showing off advanced screen features developed with Sun Yat-sen University Zhongshan Eye Center and TCL Huaxing.

Every K80 phone will use a 2K Huaxing LTPS display, which Xiaomi calls the “Grand Slam 2K Screen.” The screens include full brightness DC dimming to prevent eye strain, and use circular polarized light to create more natural viewing.

The phones feature real-time eye health monitoring through AON Smart Eye Protection. They also include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the display for better security.

The new M9 Luminous Material in the screen uses 20.3% less power than the previous K70 model. The display can reach 1800 nits brightness for clear viewing in sunlight, matching the Xiaomi 15’s capabilities.

Xiaomi will launch the full K80 series next week. The company promises these phones will set new standards for display quality and eye protection in smartphones.
