After releasing his two-part “Rebel Moon” sci-fi saga on Netflix, Zack Snyder’s director’s cut is arriving soon with some tantalizing changes.

Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of the two-part “Rebel Moon” sci-fi series on Netflix is set to release on August 2, 2024. The director’s cuts will have new titles: “Rebel Moon — Chapter One: Chalice of Blood” and “Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness.” The films will be six hours long and are described as alternate versions of the movies with different tones and points of view.

The original films, “Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire” and “Part Two: The Scargiver,” were released on Netflix in December 2023 and April 2024, respectively. The director’s cuts were always part of the plan and were shot back-to-back with the original films. They will feature R-rated content and are expected to be more adult-oriented than the PG-13 versions.

The “Rebel Moon” series follows Kora, a former soldier, as she gathers a group of warriors to fight against the evil Imperium. The films feature an ensemble cast including Sofia Boutella, Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Charlie Hunnam, and Anthony Hopkins.

There is no trailer available for the director’s cuts yet, but it’s barely needed anyway.
