Qualcomm Holds Over 70% of Android Chip Market, Xiaomi Debuts Its Own Processor

AnTuTu has released its Q4 2025 Android processor market data for China. The report shows a clear leader at the top and a small but surprising new player entering the list.

According to the data, Qualcomm controls 71.2% of the Android processor market. This means seven out of ten Android smartphones in China run on a Qualcomm chip.

Qualcomm’s lead comes from its wide range of processors. The Snapdragon 8 Elite and Gen series power most flagship phones. The Snapdragon 7 and 6 series cover the mid-range, while the Snapdragon 4 series targets budget devices.

MediaTek ranks second with a 27.4% market share. While far behind Qualcomm, MediaTek continues to grow steadily. Its Dimensity 9000 series is popular with brands that want strong performance at lower cost.

MediaTek is also strong in the mid-range and budget segment. In AnTuTu’s December 2025 mid-range rankings, 9 out of 10 phones used MediaTek chips, mainly from the Helio and Dimensity 7000 and 8000 series.

Beyond these two brands, market share drops sharply. Samsung ranks third with just 0.6%, mostly from its own Galaxy phones using Exynos processors.

The biggest surprise is Xiaomi’s entry with a 0.4% share. Its XRING O1 processor, used only in the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra, has already made an impact despite being limited to just two devices. This suggests Xiaomi’s chip ambitions may grow in the future.
