In the ongoing trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, prosecutors have asked the judge to remove one juror for allegedly being dishonest during jury selection. The motion came during court proceedings on June 12.
The juror, known only as Juror No. 6, is accused of not being truthful when answering questions before being seated. Prosecutors said they were reluctant but felt compelled to raise the issue. Specific details of the alleged dishonesty have not been made public.
Diddy’s defense quickly pushed back, pointing out that Juror No. 6 is one of the few Black jurors on the panel. The defense requested time to file a written objection before the judge makes a decision.
The trial itself remains intense. “Jane,” an anonymous woman who has accused Diddy of sex trafficking, testified about alleged abuse and disturbing events during their relationship. She spoke about a trip to Las Vegas involving another hip-hop star and a group watching a sexual encounter.
Other notable witnesses have included artists Cassie, Kid Cudi, and Dawn Richard, as well as Diddy’s former assistant.
Diddy was arrested last September and faces serious charges. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
