Pornhub’s 2025 Year in Review has revealed a surprising trend on the adult platform, with one unusual category seeing a sharp rise in popularity.
According to the report, the “Podcast” category recorded the biggest growth of any category this year. Searches for podcast content increased by 327 percent in 2025.
Pornhub publishes an annual review that highlights user habits and viewing trends. This year’s findings come as several countries, including the United Kingdom and France, introduced stricter age verification laws that limit access to adult websites.
Despite being known for explicit content, Pornhub has seen growing interest in videos that are closer to safe-for-work material. Alongside podcasts, the “Music” category also rose, with searches increasing by 62 percent.
While many of the podcasts on Pornhub still include adult themes, the trend suggests users are exploring different types of content on the platform. Pornhub previously ran its own podcast between 2018 and 2020, featuring interviews with adult performers.
Other fast-growing categories include “Gaming,” which saw a 283 percent increase. These videos often feature adult-themed versions of popular games or characters.
Pornhub also reported strong growth in vertical videos, which it links to the launch of its short-form feed called “Shorties.” The platform says the rise of mobile viewing has made vertical video more popular, similar to trends seen on social media apps.
The findings show that broader online content trends, such as podcasts and short-form video, are also influencing how users engage with adult platforms.
