Sony PlayStation Original Bootscreen

To celebrate PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, Sony has brought back the iconic original PlayStation boot screen, including its nostalgic “Bwaaaaaam Bwuuuuuuuuuum” sound, as part of a special update for PS5 users.

For a limited time, players can customize their PS5 user interface with themes from past PlayStation consoles.

You can choose from themes inspired by the PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and a special 30th anniversary theme. Many players are likely to gravitate toward the classic PSX theme, while others might prefer the PS2 look for their consoles.

In addition to these retro themes, Sony has also released a heartfelt anniversary video thanking players for their 30 years of support.

The company has also launched an anniversary sale, running through December 20th, offering a variety of games at discounted prices.

For those who grew up with PlayStation, hearing that familiar PSX boot screen sound will surely bring back memories of playing titles like Tomb Raider II or Tekken 3.

The update offers a perfect way to relive the magic of gaming’s past while celebrating the evolution of PlayStation over the years.
