Park Bom’s Agency Responds to Lawsuit Against Yang Hyun-suk: “Even We Can’t Control Her”

YG Entertainment

Former 2NE1 member Park Bom’s agency, D-Nation Entertainment, has issued a statement following her shocking announcement that she filed a fraud and embezzlement lawsuit against YG Entertainment’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk.

A D-Nation representative told reporters, “Even we cannot control Park Bom. We are currently checking the details of the lawsuit.” The agency’s brief and cautious response has drawn attention for its unusually frank tone, suggesting that Park Bom acted independently in filing the complaint.

Earlier that day, Park Bom posted images of the lawsuit on her Instagram, claiming that Yang Hyun-suk failed to pay her rightful earnings from her activities as an artist.

She alleged that the unpaid profits amounted to 642.72 trillion won (approximately $58.2 million USD) — an extraordinary figure that quickly spread across social media.

Park Bom’s sudden legal action comes as she remains on hiatus for mental health reasons. In August, D-Nation announced that she would pause all activities, explaining, “After receiving medical advice, we have decided she needs sufficient rest and stability.”

Her agency has not confirmed whether they were informed about the lawsuit in advance, stating only that they are reviewing the situation.

The public remains divided, with some expressing concern for Park Bom’s well-being and others questioning the validity of her claims.
