Oppo has recently announced its latest update to the Reno series, the Reno 12 Pro. This new smartphone boasts several significant upgrades over its predecessor, the Reno 10 Pro. Here are some key features that set the Reno 12 Pro apart:

Camera

The Reno 12 Pro features a 50MP telephoto camera, which is significantly better than the 32MP telephoto camera found in the Reno 10 Pro. This new camera promises to capture “half-body portraits with a natural bokeh effect that’s comparable to a professional camera.” The Reno 12 Pro also includes a 50MP main lens with OIS support and an 8MP ultrawide lens, offering improved overall camera performance.

Processor

The Reno 12 Pro runs on the new MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, which is designed to deliver exceptional power efficiency. This is a significant upgrade over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G used in the Reno 10 Pro, which is a couple of years old.

Display

The Reno 12 Pro features a 6.7-inch Infinite View Screen with a Quad Micro-Curve design. This design combines the benefits of a curved screen with the accuracy and durability of a flat screen. The display also includes features like Bedtime Mode and Splash Touch, which enhance the overall viewing experience.

GenAI Features

The Reno 12 Pro includes “industry-leading GenAI features” that offer advanced photo editing capabilities. These features include AI Eraser, AI Best Face, and AI Clear Face, which can remove distracting objects, open closed eyes, and restore high-definition images.

Price & Availability

The Reno 12 Pro will be available in the UK and Europe starting June 28th at £499 / €599 for the 512GB variant. This marks a significant expansion of the Reno series into new markets.

Other Features

The Reno 12 Pro also includes a 5000 mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, making it a great option for users who need a reliable and long-lasting smartphone. Additionally, the device features an IP65 rating, making it resistant to dust and water.Overall, the Oppo Reno 12 Pro offers significant upgrades over its predecessor, including improved cameras, a more efficient processor, and enhanced display features. With its competitive pricing and advanced features, the Reno 12 Pro is poised to be a top contender in the smartphone market.
