OnePlus is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Watch 3, and recent leaks have revealed exciting health features that could make this smartwatch a game-changer.
An APK teardown of the OHealth app (version 4.30.11_e27d199_241122) by Android Authority has provided insights into the new features coming with the watch.
Key Features
ECG Tracking: The OnePlus Watch 3 will support ECG functionality to detect conditions like Afib, frequent PVCs, and abnormal heart rates. Users can access this feature directly on the watch or through a compatible phone.
Wrist Temperature Monitoring: The watch will track wrist temperature, requiring users to wear it for at least five nights to establish a baseline.
60-Second Health Checkup: A new health checkup will scan for heart health, blood vessel elasticity, and sleep snoring in just 60 seconds. It will analyze seven health indicators, including blood oxygen levels and vascular age.
Health Insights and Journey: The OHealth app will feature a “Health” tab with tools for tracking long-term health trends and daily activities like sleep, steps, and workouts.
These features are expected to debut on the OnePlus Watch 3 but may later roll out to older models like the OnePlus Watch 2.
Additional Specifications
Leaks suggest the OnePlus Watch 3 will run on a Snapdragon W5 chip with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It is rumored to include a battery larger than 500mAh and a rotary dial for easier navigation.
The OnePlus Watch 3 is expected to launch in early 2025, possibly alongside the OnePlus 13 series on January 7. More details about the release are anticipated soon.
