OnePlus Announces Green Line Worry-Free Solution for AMOLED Displays

OnePlus Green Line Worry Free Solution

OnePlus has rolled out a new program to tackle the persistent green line issue affecting AMOLED displays on its devices.

The problem, which has been widely reported by users—especially in India—is the result of a combination of factors, as the company states.

The new initiative, called the ‘OnePlus Green Line Worry-Free Solution’, will aim to address the issue through a three-step approach.

1. Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer:
All future OnePlus AMOLED displays will include an upgraded Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer with PVX edge-sealing material. This layer acts as a barrier, reducing moisture and oxygen penetration, which will help extend the display’s lifespan and prevent the green line issue over time.

2. Rigorous Quality Control Checks:
OnePlus is introducing over 180 tests to simulate real-world conditions. This includes the ‘Double 85’ test, where the display is exposed to 85°C heat and 85% humidity for extended periods to ensure durability.

3. Lifetime Warranty for the Green Line Issue:
In a pioneering move, OnePlus is offering a lifetime warranty against the green line issue. This warranty is available for all models, both new and old, meaning even if your device is out of warranty, you’ll be entitled to a free display replacement.

The green line issue, affecting multiple brands like Samsung, Google, Vivo, and more, continues to be a challenge with AMOLED panels.

If you’re facing this problem, OnePlus advises contacting the company directly, regardless of your warranty status.
