One-Punch Man Fans Disappointed with 2025 Return: What’s Next for Saitama?

One Punch Man

Fans of One-Punch Man were excited for the 2025 return of the anime, but it hasn’t been the comeback they were hoping for. The anime’s third season, after more than five years of waiting, promises a lot—bringing back Saitama and the Hero Association. But manga readers are upset about the latest chapter, as they feel stuck in a cycle of “redraws.”

What’s Happening in One-Punch Man’s Manga?

In the manga, the battle against Garou, the Hero Killer, is over. A new villain, Void, has appeared. Void, once a hero ally to Blast, is now a dangerous foe. He has the same power that Garou got from the “evil god,” which makes him a huge threat. However, the latest manga chapter, number 212, is a “redraw”—meaning it’s not new content but an updated version of past scenes.

Fans Feel “Trapped in an Endless Loop”

One of the issues with redraws is that they make readers feel like they’re stuck repeating the same material. Fans expected new developments, especially since the manga is introducing Void, but instead, they got reworked old content. This has left fans feeling frustrated.

What’s a Redraw?

A redraw happens when Yusuke Murata, the manga artist, recreates earlier scenes with changes he feels will improve them. While some fans appreciate the effort, others feel disappointed when there’s no new material to enjoy, especially during a key part of the story.

What’s Next for the Anime?

The upcoming season 3 of the anime will likely focus on Garou and the Monster Association, which still need to be wrapped up. Fans might have to wait for season 4 to see Void’s debut. While there’s no official date, the popularity of One-Punch Man means the anime will eventually get to these new battles.

Will Saitama Ever Lose?

Saitama, the main character, continues to search for an opponent who can challenge him. So far, no one has come close to beating him, and it looks like the upcoming anime season will keep this trend going. Whether season 3 will change that remains to be seen.
