Nvidia is expanding its presence in southern Israel, tripling its office space in the city of Be’er Sheva and planning to hire hundreds of employees.
The U.S.-based chipmaker will move its research and development center to a new 3,000-square-meter facility in the Gav-Yam Negev High-Tech Park by the first half of 2026.
The new Be’er Sheva site will employ computer science students, full-time chip developers, and hardware and software engineers. The location is Nvidia’s southernmost office in Israel, joining existing development hubs in Tel Aviv, Yokneam, Raanana, Mevo Carmel, and Tel Hai.
Since acquiring Mellanox Technologies in 2019, Nvidia has more than doubled its workforce in Israel, which now exceeds 5,000 employees across multiple cities, making it one of the country’s largest high-tech employers.
The Be’er Sheva expansion is part of a broader national growth strategy. Nvidia is also increasing its office space in Tel Aviv and constructing a 10,000-square-meter server farm in northern Israel.
The company is evaluating proposals for a large-scale campus near Yokneam, which would become Israel’s largest tech campus if built.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the importance of the expansion, stating that it reflects the company’s commitment to reach top engineers wherever they are.
