Nokia Lumia-Inspired HMD Skyline Surfaces with Impressive Specs

HMD Global, the company responsible for reviving classic Nokia phones, is set to release a new smartphone that pays homage to the iconic Nokia Lumia 920 design. The HMD Skyline, codenamed Tomcat, boasts a modern take on the classic Fabula design with a large display featuring thin bezels and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, with up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.The HMD Skyline features a triple camera setup at the back, including a 108 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP depth/macro lens.

The front camera is a 32 MP selfie camera. The device also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and IP67 water and dust resistance. The phone is expected to run on Android 14 and will have a 4,900mAh battery with support for 33 W fast charging.

The HMD Skyline is rumored to be priced around €520 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage variant and is expected to launch in July. This device is likely to leverage the nostalgia factor to appeal to those who fondly remember the classic Nokia designs.

The HMD Skyline has been spotted on Geekbench, revealing its processor and RAM configurations. The device achieved 1027 points in the single-core test and 2857 points in the multi-core test, indicating robust performance.

Overall, the HMD Skyline seems to be a promising device that combines modern features with a classic design. Its release is eagerly anticipated by fans of the Nokia brand and those looking for a unique smartphone experience.
