No Man’s Sky has set a new milestone with the release of its Voyagers update, attracting more than 91,000 concurrent players on Steam.

The free update, launched on 27 August, introduced several new features including customizable starships, multiplayer crewing, spacewalking, and expanded exploration tools. These additions have been praised for revitalizing the space exploration game nearly a decade after its initial release.

The game, developed by UK studio Hello Games, faced a difficult launch in 2016 when it was criticised for failing to meet expectations. Since then, the developer has steadily rebuilt its reputation through major updates and ongoing community support.

Hello Games founder Sean Murray marked the achievement on social media, thanking players and emphasising the team’s commitment to continual improvement.

The surge in activity highlights No Man’s Sky’s sustained growth and the enduring interest in expansive, evolving online worlds.
