New Siri Design Not Showing Up? Here’s Why

If you’ve updated your iPhone to iOS 18.2 and are wondering why Siri still looks the same, you’re not alone.

While iOS 18 introduced a sleek new design for Siri, not everyone is seeing the change right away. Here’s why.

Apple Intelligence Is the Key The new Siri design, which includes a colorful glowing border around the screen, is part of Apple Intelligence, a new feature that uses advanced AI to enhance Siri and other iPhone functions. However, this feature isn’t available on all iPhones.

What Models Support the New Siri? Apple Intelligence requires a more powerful device to run the AI features smoothly. The following iPhones are compatible with the new design:

  • iPhone 15 Pro
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 16
  • iPhone 16 Plus
  • iPhone 16 Pro
  • iPhone 16 Pro Max

The feature also works on Macs and iPads with M-series processors, as well as the latest iPad Mini with the A17 Pro chip.

Still Not Seeing the Change? If you have a compatible device but still see the old Siri orb, it could be because Apple Intelligence is still in beta. To access the new features, you need to join the Apple Intelligence waitlist.

After installing iOS 18.2, go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri and tap Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist. Once you’re granted access, the new Siri design will appear.

How Long Will You Wait? Most users report gaining access within a few hours, but the wait time can vary depending on demand.
