New Proposal Could Extend Trump’s Presidency to 2032

A new proposal by Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles could allow Donald Trump to serve as U.S. President until 2032.

The proposal seeks to amend the 22nd Amendment, which currently limits presidents to two terms in office.

Trump, who was inaugurated for his second term on January 20, 2025, is only the second president in U.S. history to serve non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland.

Ogles argues that Trump needs a third term to fully implement his agenda and restore America’s greatness.

“President Trump’s decisive leadership stands in stark contrast to the chaos, suffering, and economic decline Americans have endured over the past four years,” Ogles stated. “He must be given the time necessary to accomplish his goals.”

The proposed amendment would allow presidents to serve three consecutive terms, potentially enabling Trump to run again in 2028 and remain in office until 2032.

Since his inauguration, Trump has already made sweeping changes, including pardoning individuals involved in the January 6 Capitol riots, defining gender as strictly male and female, and temporarily reversing the TikTok ban.

While the proposal highlights Trump’s enduring influence, it also raises questions about the balance of power and the future of presidential term limits in the U.S.
