New Latin Music Releases This Week – August 8: Carlos Vives, Grupo Niche and More

This week brings a wave of new Latin music, featuring standout releases from established stars and emerging artists across multiple genres.

Colombian icon Carlos Vives revisits his 1990s classic “La Tierra del Olvido” in a collaboration with legendary salsa group Grupo Niche. The refreshed version blends Vives’ signature storytelling with salsa rhythms, celebrating Colombia’s cultural diversity and musical richness.

Venezuelan singer Zhamira Zambrano explores bolero on her single “Quisiera Ella,” a heartfelt track reflecting resilience and self-love. Zambrano said the bolero style allows her to convey emotions in a more romantic and powerful way, expanding her artistry beyond pop and tropical sounds.

Meanwhile, Camila Fernández has released her new album La Fernández, delving into themes of heartbreak and personal growth. Other notable releases this week include Zoé’s “Campo de Fuerza”, iLe’s “Un Amor de la Calle”, and the collaboration between Ryan Castro and Grupo Frontera on “APODO”.
