Netflix has released a new set of Stranger Things profile icons as fans prepare for the final chapter of the hit series. The icons launched on Christmas Day, the same day Season 5 Volume 2 became available worldwide.
The new avatars feature major characters including Eleven, Steve Harrington, Dustin Henderson, Max Mayfield, Mike Wheeler, and Will Byers. Villains from the Upside Down, such as the Demogorgon and Vecna, are also included. Netflix promoted the update with the tagline “Choose your fighter.”
Season 5 Volume 2, which includes Episodes 5 to 7, premiered globally on December 25 at 8 p.m. ET. Each episode runs for more than an hour and builds toward the show’s final episode, set to release on January 1, 2026.
Netflix said the new profile icons are available through the platform’s avatar settings. The designs include close-ups of fan-favorite characters and stylised monster imagery tied to the show’s final storyline.
Fans reacted quickly on social media, with many praising the character options and sharing their avatar choices. Steve Harrington and Max Mayfield were among the most popular picks, while some viewers chose villains to mark the darker tone of the final season.
