Netflix has released the official teaser for Squid Game Season 3, confirming the return of Seong Gi-hun (played by Lee Jung-jae). After the dramatic ending of Season 2, where Gi-hun was last seen at gunpoint, fans now see him back in the deadly competition.
The teaser shows a more violent version of the games. A strange gumball machine now decides which players face which challenges. One scene ends with the cry of a baby, suggesting even darker plot twists ahead.

Season 3 follows Gi-hun, also known as Player 456, as he enters the games once again. This time, he plans to destroy them. Still mourning the death of his ally Jung-bae (Player 390), Gi-hun faces the shocking return of the Front Man, who had disguised himself as Player 001.
The new season features a star-studded cast, including Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, and others. Park Hee-soon also appears in a special role.

Director Hwang Dong-hyuk returns as the writer, director, and producer. He made history by becoming the first Asian to win an Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for Squid Game Season 1.
Season 2 premiered on December 26 and broke records worldwide. Season 3 is expected to be even bigger, with new rules and more dangerous games.

Squid Game Season 3 will be available on Netflix starting June 27, 2025.
