Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a visiting United States Congressional delegation that Americans rely on Israeli innovations in their daily lives.
Speaking in West Jerusalem, Netanyahu pointed to technology, healthcare, and agriculture as areas where Israel’s contributions are widely used around the world.
“Do you have cell phones? You’re holding a piece of Israel right there,” he said, highlighting Israeli involvement in mobile phone technology. He also mentioned medicines and agricultural products, including cherry tomatoes, which he noted were developed in Israel.
“These contributions are for the betterment of all mankind and womankind,” Netanyahu added, underscoring Israel’s role as a global technology hub.
The remarks came during a visit by US lawmakers amid ongoing diplomatic discussions between the two allies. The United States remains Israel’s closest partner, and the meeting reflected continuing efforts to strengthen economic and political ties.
