Timothée Chalamet just dropped a surprise rap collab with EsDeeKid, the mysterious British rapper fans claimed was the actor in disguise.

The December 19 remix of “4 Raws” shows both artists in one music video. EsDeeKid appears masked in Liverpool streets while Chalamet pulls down his bandana to reveal his face, proving they are different people.

The Viral Conspiracy Theory

The internet spent weeks claiming EsDeeKid was actually Chalamet. The theory exploded on TikTok and Reddit in November 2025 after fans noticed similarities between the two.

EsDeeKid hides his identity behind balaclavas and masks. Fans said his visible eyes and nose matched Chalamet’s features. They pointed to Chalamet’s past rapping—he freestyled on Saturday Night Live in 2018 and posted YouTube cyphers as “Lil Timmy Tim.”

Online detectives found more “evidence.” EsDeeKid wore the same striped scarf as Chalamet in old photos. Chalamet attended a concert by Fakemink, an artist who worked with EsDeeKid. Both have slim builds and curly hair.

Some claimed EsDeeKid’s Liverpool accent sounded fake. Northern UK fans pushed back, calling the theory disrespectful to local talent.

The conspiracy boosted EsDeeKid’s popularity. His monthly streams jumped from 2 million to 13 million.

Who Is EsDeeKid?

EsDeeKid is a rapper from Merseyside near Liverpool. He keeps his real name secret and never shows his face publicly.

He started releasing tracks on SoundCloud and gained attention on TikTok. His music blends UK drill beats with Liverpool slang and introspective lyrics.

By early December 2025, EsDeeKid landed his first UK Top 10 single. He currently has three tracks in the Top 40.

The “4 Raws Remix” Collaboration

The remix tackles the conspiracy directly. Chalamet raps about his upcoming film Marty Supreme and girlfriend Kylie Jenner. He addresses the rumors with the line: “They say I’m you, but nah, we twins in the booth, not the blood.”

The video racked up over 70 million views in under 24 hours. Fans debated whether the collaboration truly ends the mystery since EsDeeKid stays masked.

Chalamet’s verse shows the rap skills fans remembered from his SNL appearance. His delivery fits naturally with EsDeeKid’s gritty style.

The track also promotes Chalamet’s new table tennis drama Marty Supreme, turning the viral moment into publicity for his film career.
