Filming for the second season of Beast Games, the reality competition series hosted by YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson, has officially concluded. The season will feature 200 contestants competing for a $5 million grand prize, the largest single payout in reality TV history.
Donaldson confirmed the news on X, writing: “Beast Games Season 2 wrapped filming!!! We gathered the strongest and the smartest people on earth to compete for $5,000,000! I’M SO EXCITED SEASON 2 IS 10X BETTER THAN SEASON 1 :D.”
The upcoming season promises more intense physical, mental, and social challenges, with faster eliminations designed to highlight standout competitors.
Season 1 premiered on Amazon Prime Video in December 2024 and became the platform’s most-watched unscripted series, drawing 50 million viewers in 25 days. Despite its success, it faced criticism over luck-based games and a lawsuit from contestants who alleged poor treatment. Donaldson has said Season 2 will take a more “cutthroat” approach to avoid similar issues.
Filming for Season 2 took place in Toronto, following Season 1’s locations in Las Vegas, Toronto, and Panama’s Pearl Islands. The total prize pool is reported to be $15 million, including additional rewards beyond the $5 million grand prize.
An official premiere date has not been announced, though industry estimates point to a release window between December 2025 and summer 2026.
