MrBeast has revealed how he and his team ensured the safety of contestants during the filming of his new game show, Beast Games, following reports of injuries and hospitalizations.

The show, which features 1,000 contestants competing for a $5 million prize, premiered its first two episodes on December 19, 2024, on Prime Video.

While the show has garnered attention for its grand scale and the $100 million production cost, it has also faced controversy. Some contestants have filed lawsuits against MrBeast and Amazon, alleging mistreatment during filming.

Additionally, reports surfaced about contestants signing a waiver acknowledging the risks involved, which included potential death or serious injury.

Despite these concerns, MrBeast addressed the safety of the stunt scenes during a livestream with fellow social media star Jynxzi. In reference to a scene where contestants fall through trap doors, MrBeast explained that they worked with a professional stunt crew responsible for big action movies.

The tower, he said, falls into five feet of foam, with a crash pad underneath that wasn’t even needed during filming. He further revealed that the team conducted 5,000 test drops before the actual filming, ensuring no one got hurt during the trials.

While the show continues to stir up controversy, MrBeast’s explanation highlights the extensive measures taken to minimize risk for contestants.
