Fans of Moon Knight may not have seen the last of the white-robed vigilante just yet. Three years after the first season ended, the show’s creator Jeremy Slater has shared a hopeful—but cautious—update on a possible return.
In a recent interview, Slater said the future of Moon Knight lies with two key people: Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, and Oscar Isaac, the lead actor. “Talk to Kevin Feige, talk to Oscar Isaac. The ball’s really in their court,” he said.
Moon Knight Season 1, which aired in 2022, was praised for its unique tone and Isaac’s performance as a character with dissociative identity disorder. The season ended with a cliffhanger, teasing the appearance of a third personality, Jake Lockley. Since then, fans have eagerly waited for news on Season 2.
Slater added, “It’s as much or as little Moon Knight as Oscar wants to do. Kevin’s the guy with the master plan.”
Marvel Still Has Plans—But Not Right Now
Marvel has not canceled Moon Knight, but the character is not part of the studio’s current short-term plans. According to Marvel Television executive Brad Winderbaum, the focus has shifted to creating shows that work more like traditional TV, with ongoing seasons.
“I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2,” Winderbaum said, “but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”
The character recently appeared in What If…? Season 3. Some fans believe he may show up in Avengers: Doomsday, but there is no confirmation yet.
For now, Moon Knight remains in limbo. While Season 2 is not officially confirmed, Marvel has not shut the door, and there’s still a chance the hero could return in a future phase of the MCU.
