Marvel Studios’ animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is packed with Easter eggs, including a clever nod to Oscar Isaac’s “Moon Knight.”
In Episode 6, while Peter Parker, Nico Minoru, and Harry Osborn are at Peter’s house, a box of VHS tapes is shown, featuring a movie titled “Tomb Buster.”
This film is a callback to a poster seen in “Moon Knight” Season 1, where “Tomb Buster” was linked to Steven Grant, one of Marc Spector’s alters. The movie appears to be inspired by Indiana Jones, with a hero resembling Harrison Ford’s iconic character.
The inclusion of this Easter egg may highlight the theme of dual identities, as both Spider-Man and Moon Knight grapple with their alter egos.
In Episode 6, Nico Minoru discovers Peter’s secret identity as Spider-Man, paralleling Marc Spector’s struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
Fans are curious if Spider-Man and Moon Knight will eventually team up in the MCU. While Moon Knight’s future remains uncertain, the possibility of these characters meeting on the big screen is an exciting prospect for fans.
“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” Season 1 is now available to stream on Disney+.
