Mission Impossible 8 Earns $12 Million Early, Eyes $1 Billion Total

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is off to a strong start globally. As of May 19, 2025, the film has earned about $12 million from early releases in five countries: India, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.

South Korea leads early earnings with $5 million in just two days, drawing over 750,000 viewers—the highest for any film in 2025 there. Japan follows with around $2 million, while India has brought in roughly $4 million (₹33 crore). Australia and New Zealand combined contributed just under $1 million.

The film is expected to cross $20 million worldwide before its US release on May 23. In North America, the opening weekend is projected to exceed $100 million, with even higher revenue expected overseas.

The full global rollout includes a release in China on May 30, which is anticipated to boost the box office significantly.

Industry experts predict Mission: Impossible 8 could become a billion-dollar blockbuster, helping revive the franchise and kick off Hollywood’s summer season. The film’s production budget is estimated at $300 million, making strong box office results vital.
