MindsEye Gets First Patch to Fix Crashes — More Updates Coming Soon

MindsEye Game

MindsEye has started rolling out its first hotfix to fix major bugs and improve performance. After a messy launch filled with crashes and glitches, developers from Build a Rocket Boy are now working to fix the game and regain players’ trust.

The developers confirmed that a memory leak was causing most of the crashing problems. This first patch, released on June 13, focuses on performance improvements, memory fixes, and stability updates.

More updates are coming soon. The second hotfix is expected around June 16 and will focus on more stability fixes and a strange bug where car wheels wouldn’t spin while driving. A third patch later this month will bring animation fixes, better enemy AI, and more performance upgrades.

The developers said they are “heartbroken” that many players didn’t get to enjoy the game as planned. They promised to keep releasing regular updates and to listen closely to player feedback.

The team says they want MindsEye to be more like Cyberpunk 2077 — which eventually improved after its rough launch — and avoid ending up like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which never fully recovered from its bad start.

  • Better CPU and GPU performance

More patches are on the way as Build a Rocket Boy works to get MindsEye into shape.
