Netflix has released a new teaser for Stranger Things Season 5, offering a first look at the final season of the hit sci-fi series. The teaser, launched today, previews the long-awaited conclusion to the story of Hawkins, Indiana, as the beloved group of friends prepares for their final battle against the Upside Down.
One Last Fight Against Vecna
The teaser picks up in the immediate aftermath of Season 4’s events. The town of Hawkins remains in crisis, with the Upside Down spreading and the government unsure how to contain it.
In the clip, Mike Wheeler is heard promising to “burn the Upside Down down,” suggesting that the team is planning a full-scale attack on the alternate dimension that has terrorized them for years.
Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, also tells Eleven to “fight one last time,” underlining the high stakes of the upcoming season. The teaser shows the group preparing for what looks like their most dangerous mission yet.
Max’s Fate Remains Unclear
The teaser shows Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) still in a coma, a condition she fell into during Season 4 after being attacked by Vecna. Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin) is seen crying at her bedside, while the teaser leaves her ultimate fate a mystery.
Other emotional moments include scenes of Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) and Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) sharing a heartfelt moment, and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) comforting Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). These scenes have led to speculation about possible character deaths in the final season.
The Full Cast Returns for the Finale
The main cast will return for Season 5, including Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Maya Hawke as Robin, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, and David Harbour as Hopper.
Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson), Lucas’s younger sister, is also seen joining the fight, helping the group both in the classroom and in battle.
Meanwhile, Dustin mourns the loss of Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), who died in Season 4. His death continues to affect the group, especially as the town still misjudges him even after his sacrifice.
Release Dates and Episode Breakdown
Netflix confirmed the final season will be split into three parts:

Volume 2 | Episodes 5–7 | December 25, 2025 | 8 PM |
