Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme Headed To HBO Max Under Renewed A24 Deal

A24 and HBO Max have renewed their multi‑year Pay‑1 licensing deal. The agreement gives Max exclusive U.S. streaming rights to A24 films after their theatrical and digital releases.

The renewed deal means A24 movies will continue to stream only on HBO and Max during the Pay‑1 window. This period comes after films leave theaters and premium video‑on‑demand platforms.

The first upcoming title under the new agreement is Marty Supreme. The film stars Timothée Chalamet and is directed by Josh Safdie. It is described as A24’s most expensive movie to date.

The renewed partnership builds on a deal first announced in 2023. That agreement followed the end of A24’s long‑running output deal with Showtime.

Executives said the partnership has performed strongly. Nearly 70% of viewers who watched an A24 movie on Max went on to watch more than one title. On average, viewers watched four A24 films.

Several other A24 releases will also stream on Max under the deal. These include The Moment, Pillion, and The Drama, along with later titles such as The Death of Robin Hood and Enemies.

Warner Bros. Discovery executive Royce Battleman praised A24’s focus on bold and original storytelling. He noted that about half of A24’s Pay‑1 releases in 2025 landed in Max’s top ten most‑watched films within two weeks of release.

No official streaming date has been announced for Marty Supreme. However, the renewed deal confirms it will arrive on Max following its theatrical run.
