Director James Gunn has revealed that Pom Klementieff will voice one of the robots in Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. The actress, known for playing Mantis in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, joins several other Marvel actors in the upcoming DC movie.
Gunn confirmed Klementieff’s casting during an interview with Buzzfeed Australia. “I will give you something that nobody knows. Pom Klementieff is one of the robots,” he said.
Guardians of the Galaxy Reunion
The robot voices represent a mini reunion of Guardians of the Galaxy cast members. Bradley Cooper, who voices Rocket Raccoon in Marvel films, and Michael Rooker, who played Yondu, are also voicing robots in Superman.
“In that same scene, it’s Bradley [Cooper], it’s also Pom, and Michael Rooker is another one of the robots. We’ve got two Guardians right there,” Gunn explained. Alan Tudyk will voice another robot in the Fortress of Solitude.
Cooper and Rooker’s casting was previously known, but Klementieff’s involvement had been kept secret until now.
Previous Collaboration History
This marks another collaboration between Gunn and Klementieff. Besides the Guardians films, she had an uncredited cameo in Gunn’s 2021 film The Suicide Squad.
Klementieff is also known for her role in the Mission: Impossible franchise, adding to her action movie credentials.
