Disney has unveiled Ice Age: Boiling Point, the sixth film in the long-running animated franchise, during its D23 event. The movie is scheduled for theatrical release on 5 February 2027.
The story will see the familiar herd — Manny the mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger, and their companions — journey into the perilous Lost World, a landscape filled with dinosaurs, erupting lava, and constant danger.
Ray Romano and John Leguizamo will return to voice Manny and Sid, with the addition of Baby Scrat, a new character expanding the franchise’s family-centered humor.
Disney says the film will continue to balance comedy, heartfelt themes, and high-stakes adventure as the series seeks to captivate a new generation of audiences while appealing to long-time fans.
The announcement comes amid the revival of the Ice Age brand, which has remained one of the most successful animated franchises worldwide since its debut in 2002.
