Actress Malin Akerman has shared how her best friend helped her navigate one of the most challenging periods of her life.

Speaking at the She Sees Me: The Power of Female Friendship panel on Oct. 11, Akerman, 47, said her friend moved in with her after she divorced ex-husband Roberto Zincone in 2013, just four months after the birth of their son, Sebastian.

“She made it…one of the most joyful times of my life,” Akerman said, noting that her friend helped care for her son during the first year and a half of his life.

The actress described the experience as both difficult and uplifting, highlighting the importance of relying on close friends during challenging times.

Akerman also spoke about the life lessons she learned from her friend, including the importance of asking for help and leaning on others when overwhelmed.

She emphasized that friendships can provide emotional support and joy even during tough moments.
