Lil Wayne Returns to the Top with Tha Carter VI Debut at No. 2

Lil Wayne’s new album Tha Carter VI has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart.

In its first week, the album earned 108,000 equivalent album units. This includes 73,000 units from streaming (with over 97 million on-demand streams), 34,000 pure album sales, and 1,000 track equivalent units.

Tha Carter VI is Lil Wayne’s 13th album to enter the Billboard top 10. The rest of the Tha Carter series has also reached No. 1 or No. 2 in past years.

At No. 1 this week is Morgan Wallen. ENHYPEN’s DESIRE: UNLEASH comes in at No. 3 with 100,000 units. Addison Rae’s debut album Addison enters at No. 4 with 48,500 units.

The rest of the top 10 includes:

  • SZA at No. 5
  • My Chemical Romance at No. 6
  • Sabrina Carpenter at No. 7
  • Morgan Wallen again at No. 8
  • Turnstile’s NEVER ENOUGH at No. 9 (their first top 10 entry)
  • Kendrick Lamar at No. 10
