Lil Baby Faces Backlash for Missing Promised Release Date

Fans of Lil Baby have expressed frustration online after the rapper failed to release his new album The Leak$ on Friday, September 5, despite previously announcing the date.

This is the second delay surrounding the project. The Atlanta artist had earlier apologized for missing an expected release on August 15 but insisted that he never officially confirmed that date.

This time, however, he did announce September 5, leading to widespread disappointment among his listeners when the album did not arrive.

The absence of new music quickly sparked reactions across social media, with many fans mocking the rapper and questioning the reasons behind the delay.

Some speculated that label issues were involved, while others suggested the decision may have been linked to ongoing controversies in Atlanta’s rap scene, including Young Thug’s recent leaked diss track and legal troubles.

Other theories ranged from competition with major artists releasing music, such as Justin Bieber, to speculation that Universal Music Group may have shifted release schedules. None of these explanations have been confirmed.

The Leak$ is expected to feature collaborations with Young Thug, Playboi Carti, and Veeze, but Lil Baby has not provided an updated timeline for the album’s release.

For now, fans remain uncertain whether the project will drop later in the weekend or face another delay.
