LeAnn Rimes Reflects on Cheating Scandal, Dental Issues, and Life With Eddie Cibrian

Country singer LeAnn Rimes spoke candidly in a new interview with Flow Space magazine, discussing her personal struggles, including the early controversy in her marriage to actor Eddie Cibrian and her ongoing health issues.

Rimes, who has been married to Cibrian for 14 years, reflected on the public backlash she faced when their relationship began. The couple met while filming the 2009 Lifetime movie Northern Lights and started dating while both were still married to other people. The affair made headlines at the time and led to criticism that Rimes says affected her deeply.

“I realized very quickly that there are a lot of women who’ve been hurt,” Rimes told Flow Space. “I’ve been on both sides of that coin—I’ve been cheated on, too. I know that feeling.”

She added, “So many women don’t know what to do with that anger. I was a target that was easily projected upon. But the world’s pain is not mine to carry. I know what I’m responsible for and I’ve made amends for that.”

Rimes was previously married to dancer Dean Sheremet for eight years. Cibrian shares two sons with his ex-wife, reality TV star Brandi Glanville.

Beyond her personal life, Rimes spoke about various health challenges. She has battled psoriasis for years and is now dealing with perimenopause. She also detailed a series of dental problems that have caused her significant pain.

Last month, Rimes went viral after she rushed off stage during a concert when her dental bridge popped out mid-song. Speaking about the incident in an Instagram video, she said, “There wasn’t a thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it.”

Rimes told Flow Space that her dental issues began when she received veneers at around age 16, which led to multiple surgeries and years of chronic pain. “I look at my pictures from that time, and my face was so different—it was just so swollen. Oh, it was awful. I was in chronic pain for, like, two-and-a-half years.”

Despite these challenges, Rimes says Cibrian has remained a constant source of support.

The full interview appears in the July issue of Flow Space magazine.
