The soundtrack for the animated film KPop Demon Hunters has climbed to number three on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025 so far.
This marks a significant achievement as it surpasses other popular soundtracks, including Wicked, which reached number four earlier this year.
KPop Demon Hunters premiered on Netflix on June 20, alongside the release of its soundtrack. The album’s rise on the charts reflects its growing popularity, with a jump from number eight to number three in its second week. It also became the highest-charting soundtrack to an animated film since Encanto spent nine weeks at number one in 2022.
In the tracking week ending July 3, the soundtrack earned 62,000 equivalent album units, nearly doubling its performance from the previous week.
Of these, 56,000 units came from streaming, with the songs generating 77.42 million on-demand streams—one of the largest streaming weeks for a soundtrack in nearly two years.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks albums in the U.S. based on sales, track sales, and streaming figures. The full July 12 chart will be available on July 8.
