Kendrick Lamar’s Clipse Verse Leak Angers Breakfast Club Hosts!

A leaked sneak peek of Kendrick Lamar’s verse for Clipse’s upcoming album, Let God Sort Em Out, has sparked heated discussion online and on “The Breakfast Club.”

The audio, which surfaced on social media yesterday, shows Pusha T, Malice, and Pharrell Williams enjoying the track on a Paris rooftop. With the album set to release on July 11, the leak has frustrated many, including the hosts of the popular radio show.

Charlamagne Tha God expressed strong disappointment over the leak, saying, “I hate hearing music when it’s not presented the way the artist wants us to hear it. Context matters, and that sound quality was terrible.”

Loren LoRosa agreed, feeling bad for Clipse due to the high anticipation for this verse and the duo’s desire to keep it under wraps. Charlamagne added, “You should respect people’s art. When they invite you into intimate spaces to hear it beforehand, you should respect it.”

DJ Envy called the leak “foul” and criticized those who recorded the audio for personal gain. Despite their frustration, Envy and Charlamagne admitted they liked what they heard from Kendrick Lamar. Charlamagne even quoted some of the bars, showing his appreciation for K. Dot’s delivery.

Towards the end of the discussion, LoRosa suggested Def Jam should have “relaxed” on promoting the verse. She claimed to have heard the full version before the leak and noted that the leaked audio represents most of what fans will hear on release day. Envy and Charlamagne teased her about this claim but also worried that the leak might create false narratives about the verse.

Fans and hosts alike will have to wait until July 11 to hear the track as Clipse intended. Until then, the buzz around Kendrick Lamar’s contribution continues to grow.
