Kendrick Lamar & SZA’s Grand National Tour Surpasses Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s Record

Kendrick Lamar and SZA have officially made music history. Their Grand National Tour has become the highest-grossing co-headline tour of all time, earning $256.4 million from 1.1 million tickets sold across just 23 shows.

The tour kicked off in April 2025 and has broken several major records in both hip-hop and live music. On opening night in Minneapolis, Kendrick Lamar set a new benchmark by grossing $9.1 million from more than 47,000 fans.

That record was soon surpassed in Seattle, where the Lumen Field show brought in $14.8 million from nearly 61,000 attendees. This eclipsed both Lamar’s previous record and Eminem’s 2019 Melbourne performance, which had grossed $8.7 million.

Mustard joined the tour as the supporting act, while stadiums across major U.S. cities — including Houston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Inglewood — reported sold-out crowds. The tour will now continue through Europe and the U.K. this summer, with stops in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and more.

With an average ticket price of about $206, the tour stands out as one of 2025’s most successful live music events. It has now surpassed Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On The Run II tour to claim the top spot on Billboard’s list of highest-grossing co-headline tours.

The tour’s massive success highlights the global popularity of both Kendrick Lamar and SZA. It also marks a new milestone for hip-hop and R&B, showing their powerful influence in the live music industry.

As the Grand National Tour continues its run, fans and industry insiders expect even more records to fall. The combination of Kendrick’s lyrical intensity and SZA’s emotional vocals has created a landmark event that cements their legacy as two of the most important artists of their time.
