Kendrick Lamar made history again during his three-night Grand National Tour residency at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium. The Compton rapper became the first ever to have multiple tours ranked among the top five highest-grossing hip-hop tours of all time.
The Grand National Tour has grossed over $112.5 million so far, surpassing Lamar’s own The Big Steppers Tour which brought in $110.8 million in 2023. This impressive feat marks Lamar as a dominant force in live hip-hop performances.
During the SoFi shows, Kendrick delivered powerful performances from his latest GNX album and his acclaimed catalog. Highlights included crowd favorites like “Euphoria” and “Not Like Us,” along with dynamic collaborations with SZA, such as “30 for 30” and “Luther.” The duo’s chemistry on stage combines Kendrick’s fearless storytelling with SZA’s expressive vocals, captivating diverse, multi-generational audiences.
The tour, which began on April 19 in Minneapolis, has shattered records at every stop. Opening night at U.S. Bank Stadium attracted over 47,000 fans and grossed $9.1 million, the highest ever for a rap concert. The record was broken again just days later in Houston, where they earned $9.45 million from 42,205 tickets sold.
Industry analysts now predict the Grand National Tour will surpass $350 million in total revenue, poised to eclipse Drake’s 2023 rap touring record. If this happens, Kendrick Lamar’s tour will become the highest-grossing rap tour in history.
The tour continues to support Lamar’s GNX, the top-selling hip-hop album of 2025. Meanwhile, SZA’s SOS deluxe version remains a chart-topping powerhouse, producing hit singles like “Snooze” and “Drive,” further proving their unmatched influence in the music world.
Kendrick Lamar’s Grand National Tour is not just breaking records — it’s setting the pace for a new era in hip-hop touring and live performance.
