KATSEYE, the six-member global girl group, recently spoke out to stop a common myth about girl groups—that they dislike each other. The members—Sophia, Manon, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae—say that is not true at all.
KATSEYE was formed in 2023 through HYBE and Geffen Records’ reality show The Debut: Dream Academy. The members come from different countries like the United States, South Korea, Switzerland, and the Philippines. Despite their differences, they say they share a strong bond.
Sophia said, “We’re like sisters.” Their close relationship grew after years of hard training, which fans saw in the Netflix documentary Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE. The show revealed moments of tension but also how the group solved conflicts maturely.
Fans, called EYEKONS, praise KATSEYE’s teamwork on social media. Over 70% of posts about their SIS (Soft Is Strong) EP mention their unity. Their debut songs “Debut” and “Touch” have together reached 12 million views on YouTube, showing their rising fame.
KATSEYE’s message is clear: their success comes from sisterhood, not rivalry.
