Kanye West planned a concert called YE LIVE IN KOREA on May 31, 2025, at Incheon Munhak Stadium in South Korea. However, the show was cancelled on May 19 due to backlash over Kanye’s recent controversial actions and statements.
The controversy began after Kanye released a song titled “Heil Hitler” on May 8. The song faced strong criticism, and streaming platforms removed it.
Fans, music labels, and the public condemned the track as unacceptable. Following this, South Korean partners Coupang Play and Interpark Global stopped ticket and merchandise sales and cancelled the event.
The cancellation happened less than two weeks before the concert date. Coupang Play and Interpark Global promised full refunds to ticket buyers.
Local promoter Channel Candy said they received no prior warning and called the cancellation a “unilateral termination notice” from Coupang Play. A cancellation message on Interpark Global’s website linked the decision to Kanye’s recent controversies.
On June 20, Channel Candy announced a new date for the concert. YE LIVE IN KOREA will now take place on July 26 at the same stadium. Channel Candy will be the main organizer this time, and Coupang Play is no longer involved. Tickets will be sold through Melon Ticket. No information has been shared about opening acts or special guests.
Fans who bought tickets for May 31 have been refunded. The new date offers hope for a smooth event, but some fans remain concerned about possible further issues. For now, the concert cancellation is tied to Kanye’s recent controversy, refunds have been processed, and the show is rescheduled.
