Coupang Play has canceled Ye’s concert in Korea after the rapper released a song called “Heil Hitler.” The decision was made public on Monday, May 19.
Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, released the controversial track on May 8. That date marks the official end of World War II in 1945.
The song includes antisemitic lyrics and a 1935 speech sample by Adolf Hitler. The track has since been removed from major streaming platforms.
The concert, titled “Bully,” was scheduled for May 31 at Incheon Munhak Stadium. Ye was expected to perform songs from his upcoming album of the same name.
Coupang Play confirmed that it has also stopped all concert merchandise sales as of 1 p.m. Monday.
Ye last performed in Korea in August 2024, his first Korean concert in 14 years. His recent actions have drawn backlash, especially given his long history of antisemitic comments.
