Joy Crookes Showcases Bangladeshi Landscapes in New ‘Perfect Crime’ Video

British singer-songwriter Joy Crookes has released the official video for her new single Perfect Crime, with stunning visuals filmed in Bangladesh.

In the video, Crookes is seen riding on top of a moving train, traveling through both busy cities and peaceful countryside. The scenes highlight the cultural richness of Bangladesh, reflecting her own heritage.

The single comes ahead of her upcoming second album, Juniper, which Crookes co-produced with Harvey Grant. Perfect Crime explores the nervous excitement of returning to dating after a break.

Perfect Crime is about that scary moment before you jump back into the dating world,” Crookes said. “It’s like a pep talk to myself, similar to doing positive affirmations in the mirror.”

The album Juniper features collaborations with rapper Vince Staples on the track Pass The Salt, and British MC Kano on Mathematics. Crookes worked with producers Blue May, Tev’n, and Harvey Grant to create the record.

“With Juniper, every situation is visceral and I’m very much in it. It’s me in the centre of it all,” Crookes explained.

Alongside the album, Crookes has announced an international tour starting in November. The tour will include shows across Ireland, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.
