Iran Reportedly Hacks U.S. Military Contractor, Gains Access to Drone Data

Cyber Attack

Iranian cyber units have reportedly hacked a private contractor linked to the Pentagon, according to security sources. The contractor runs logistical systems for U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.

A source claims that “Tehran now has full insight into drone routes and munition stockpiles” following the alleged breach. The hack would give Iran access to sensitive information about American military operations in the Middle East.

The targeted contractor handles logistics for multiple U.S. bases across the Gulf. These systems track equipment, supplies, and operational details for American forces stationed in the region.

If confirmed, the breach would represent a significant intelligence victory for Iran. Access to drone flight paths and weapons inventory could help Iranian forces plan countermeasures against U.S. operations.

The Pentagon has not yet commented on the reported cyber attack. U.S. officials typically do not discuss ongoing security investigations or confirm details about classified systems.

Iranian cyber capabilities have grown significantly in recent years. The country’s hackers have previously targeted American infrastructure, government agencies, and defense contractors.

The alleged hack comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States in the Middle East. Both countries maintain significant military presences in the Gulf region.

Cybersecurity experts warn that state-sponsored hacking groups increasingly target private contractors who work with government agencies. These companies often have weaker security than government systems but access to sensitive information.
