Apple’s next flagship, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, is expected to arrive later this year. Early leaks suggest the phone could feature a transparent-style rear finish and some camera upgrades.
Reports indicate the back panel may have a subtle see-through effect, moving away from the two-tone design used on recent Pro models. New colour options like coffee brown, burgundy, purple, and deep red are also under consideration.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max may keep a 6.9-inch screen, while the smaller iPhone 18 Pro could retain a 6.3-inch display. Minor changes around the camera bump are possible.
Apple is reportedly testing a smaller Dynamic Island. Some leaks suggest Face ID sensors could move under the display, leaving only a tiny front camera cutout.
Battery capacity may rise above 5,000 mAh. Models with a physical SIM might carry 5,000 mAh, while eSIM-only versions could reach 5,200 mAh due to extra space inside the phone.
Camera upgrades may include a variable aperture system for better light control and a faster telephoto lens for low-light photography. Most of the iPhone 18 series could get a 24-megapixel front camera.
The new phones are expected to run on Apple’s A20 chip, with memory integrated closer to the processor and graphics components. Satellite-enabled 5G and a new C2 modem may also improve connectivity.
Apple has not confirmed any of these details. The design and specs could change before the official release, likely during the usual autumn launch window.
